Coastal Trail is our lifestyle café, retail store and adventure hub - a vibrant, high-footfall space where great coffee, warm service and coastal energy come together. The café is the heart of the business, welcoming locals, visitors and adventure-seekers alike.
We’re looking for a skilled, enthusiastic Barista to help deliver an exceptional café experience - from consistently excellent coffee to friendly, confident customer service.
OVERVIEW
As a Barista at Coastal Trail Café, you’ll play a key role in shaping the daily experience of our customers. You’ll take pride in producing high-quality coffee, maintaining a clean and efficient workspace, and creating a welcoming, upbeat atmosphere.
This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, thrives in a busy environment, and cares about the details.
YOUR DAY TO DAY
• Preparing and serving high-quality coffee and hot drinks to consistently high standards
• Delivering warm, knowledgeable and confident customer service
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation across the café, bar and customer areas
• Supporting food service where required (simple prep, plating, service)
• Handling tills and payments accurately and efficiently
• Working collaboratively with the wider Coastal Trail team across café, retail and experiences
• Upholding brand standards, presentation and atmosphere at all times
• Supporting stock checks, deliveries and basic prep tasks as needed
ABOUT YOU
To thrive in this role, you’ll likely have:
• Previous experience as a barista in a busy café environment
• A genuine interest in coffee and hospitality
• A friendly, confident and proactive approach to customer service
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• The ability to stay calm and organised during busy periods
