Taking the helm as the head of our group, James Pike brings extensive experience as a senior hospitality leader, specialising in the intricacies of multi-faceted businesses. His achievements including being an Ace Robyn winner, and Catey General Manager nominee are a testament to his excellence within the industry. James has contributed significantly to the success of high-profile businesses, where he played a key role in driving substantial business growth across multiple prestigious London venues.

Executive Chef

Elly Wentworth, our Executive Chef, blends farm-to-table roots with global influences in her modern British creations at the Angel. As Group Executive Chef since 2022, she oversees both the Angel andthe Embankment Bistro, earning accolades and TV appearances. Elly's impact extends beyond the kitchen, championing women in the culinary world. The Angel, under her leadership, holds its place in Michelin and AA guides, a testament to Elly's culinary excellence and commitment to exceptional dining experiences.

Lisa Blamey-Bruckner

Business Support Manager

With a background in residential care management, Lisa achieved an excellent rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) during her five-year tenure. Transitioning into family business during the pandemic, she excelled in account management, ensuring seamless delivery of essential goods. Since joining The Holland Group in June 2022, Lisa has embraced growth and contribution. Lisa brings invaluable experience and dedication to our team.

Csaba

Csaba Adamy

Commercial & Development Manager

Csaba's passion for hospitality blossomed during his upbringing on a winery in Hungary. In London, he excelled as head sommelier at renowned finedining establishments, including the two Michelin-starred L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon. Csaba then joined John Burton-Race at The New Angel in Notting Hill before moving to Torquay in 2017 to further his career. As General Manager at The Seahorse, Csaba contributed to the restaurant's success, earning multiple awards. Joining The Holland Group in 2023 as Operations Manager, Csaba brings a wealth of experience and a passion for excellence in hospitality.

Jo Howard

Group Sales Manager

Jo, with extensive experience in hospitality andevents management, has excelled in prestigious venues, including Bovey Castle and Andrew Brownsword Hotels. Her expertise in sales andmarketing was honed in Bristol, where she fostered partnerships and provided consultancy during the pandemic. Now, as Group Sales Manager for the Holland Group in Devon, Jo leverages her skills to drive sales growth and enhance customer satisfaction.

Alina Vîhodtev

Accounts

Alina, originally from Moldova, holds an undergraduate degree in restaurant management and a Masters in accounts. Upon moving to the UK in 2016, she swiftly joined the Holland Group, starting in the takeaway section of the Station cafe, which has since evolved into the vibrant Embankment Bistro. The subsequent year marked her seamless transition into an accounts role, aligning with her master's expertise.

David Gillham

Embankment Head Chef

David is a culinary virtuoso with 13 years of experience, highlighted by his ownership of MORE/The Larder in Brixham. His catering collaborations with The Seahorse at Heron Valley and The Wandering Chef Jake Bridgwood showcase his innovative approach to food. Notably, David's handcrafted doughnuts stole the show at the Exeter Christmas Market, with an impressive 9000 sold. We're thrilled to have David at the helm of our culinary team, infusing passion and creativity at Embankment!

Angel Senior Sous Chef

Brandon, the angel-headed sous chef, found his culinary passion in Dartmouth after moving there from Plymouth 13 years ago. He began working in hospitality at just 14 and played a key role in opening The Angel with former head chef Jody Shaw. Since joining The Angel at 18, Brandon's creativity and commitment have been integral to the restaurant's success, showcasing his dedication to the culinary craft.

Sophie, our Retail & Leisure Manager, brings a global perspective and a passion for coastal living to our team. Originally from Exeter, Sophie's journey has taken her across Australia and South Africa before bringing her back to her roots by the coast. With diverse experience in cafes, restaurants, bars, and retail in London, Sophie has found her ideal fit blending retail with hospitality. Her infectious energy and dedication to creating memorable experiences make Sophie a valued part of our team.
